Founded in 2002 by Al Heller & Elliot Salmons, DRC Video Productions began with a focus on servicing the dance industry in Ontario, Canada. By focusing exclusively on dance, the vision was to be experts in our field. By avoiding distractions from other activities that intrude into the dance season, we’ve been able to offer the fastest delivery times in the industry and top level customer service to our clients.
In 2003, we introduced the Studio Group Collection TM to the dance competition world, providing a much more affordable DVD solution to dance parents. In 2007, when we started offering photography services, we again shook up the industry by allowing our customers to purchase all the digital images of their dances, priced lower than traditional printed images were being sold for by our competitors.
In 2005, we developed and launched Video Judge TM – the first DVD adjudication system for dance competitions. Through the development of our own customized software, we captured the videos of each performance along with each of the judges’ comments and provided each studio with a DVD teaching tool. The response was incredible and Video Judge can now be found at hundreds of events across Canada and the United States each dance season.
2009 brought the launch of our new photography brand, DanceSnaps TM, which cemented our commitment to provide photography services at both the competition and studio level.
